Job Summary:

The Department of Perioperative Services, Endoscopy at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse 2. The successful candidate will: 

  • Provide nursing care to patients within the framework of the Nursing Process utilizing critical thinking skills and evidence-based practice. 
  • Diagnose and treat responses to actual or potential health problems by means of nursing methods and techniques. 
  • Provide care supportive to and restorative of health and well-being. 
  • Promote patient safety through collaborative communication among physicians and other health team members. 

Required Qualifications:

  • New York State Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • 1-year of relevant clinical experience.
