Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner / Assistant Director of Nursing. The successful candidate will:

  • Work under the supervision of the Urogynecologist in the provision of clinical patient care services as it relates to the collection of data and diagnostic as well as therapeutic procedures.
  • Assess, diagnose and provide care at University Hospital of Brooklyn (UHB) and its offsite community facilities on a scheduled basis. 
  • Perform evaluations and identify patient problems.
  • Perform history and physical examinations of the patient.
  • Write prescriptions, orders and interpret laboratory data and radiological tests.
  • Monitor patient status and responses to treatment.
  • Document findings in the patient medical records.
  • Provide education and counseling for patient.  

Required Qualifications:

  • New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure.
  • 5+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm

Salary Grade/Rank:

SL-5

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
