Job Summary:

The Department of Central Sterile Supply at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Sterile Supply Technician 1. The successful candidate will:

• Collect soiled instruments/trays and equipment.
• Clean, sterilize and assemble routine and specialty instrument trays.
• Prepare packs and instrument trays.
• Disinfect and sterilize scopes.
• Stock isolation, dialysis, and crash carts.
• Operate semi-automatic sterilizing equipment, mechanical, decontamination, and other related equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Must be certified as a Registered Central Sterile Technician within 10-months of hire date.
