Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Staff Assistant 2, Project Manager.

The Project Manager will oversee services to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology by managing it’s New York State Abortion Access Program. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of project management along with the daily functions of the program.

Illustrative Duties

  • Manage the New York State Abortion Access Program and be accountable to oversee daily functions of the program, to include:
    • Coordination and monitoring of the activities
    • Ability to achieve quality and provide individual based abortion care
    • Ability to choose the right patient care from the range of patient care provided
  • Enable both social as well as environmental policy to provide abortion access to patients.
  • Oversee all aspects of additional project management, to include:
    • Financial reporting
    • Project reporting.
    • Adherence to Compliance measures
    • Adherence to Department policies

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Or a combination of education, training and/or experience equivalent to above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management preferred.
  • 1+ years of project management work experience in a healthcare/hospital setting preferred.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm (Full-Time)

SL-1

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
