Job Summary:

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 2 / Lead Technologist, Virology. The successful candidate will:

• Perform specimen examinations, and clinical laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Microbiology, including molecular techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory practices, including quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical or Biological Science.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCP certification.
• Microbiology experience

Variable Days; Variable Hours (Full-Time)
