Job Summary:

The Department of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Rheumatologist. The successful candidate will:
- Management of patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders in outpatient setting as a service-based assignment.
- Liaison with the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation services for inpatients with medical rheumatic disorders.
- Participate in all clinical, educational, and research activities as directed by the chief of the division.
- Supervise and teach the medical students, residents and fellows.
- Lecture residents, medical students and precept medical students during their clerkships in the Department and actively participate in teaching rounds.
- Ample opportunities for research, publications and other scholarly activities are available. Participation in these activities is a must.
- Will also participate in the faculty private practice (University Physicians of Brooklyn - UPB).
- Ability to supplement salary with extramural funds.
