Job Summary:

The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Clinical Technical Service EKG Associate, Float Team. The successful candidate will:

  • Perform electrocardiograph diagnostic testing.
  • Provide computerized recording for the physician review.
  • Conduct cardiac monitoring on adult population.
  • Practice effective infection control measures.
  • Respond to the changing needs of patient care areas.
  • Obtain, record, and exchange information on behalf of the patient.
  • Plan appropriately to meet clinic objectives and take initiatives where necessary.
  • Take an active role in managing resources.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in Quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in personal/professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • EKG and/or ECG and Phlebotomy Certification.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Medical Assistant Certification Program.

Work Schedule:

Variable Days; 7:30am to 8:00pm (Full-Time)

Salary Grade/Rank:

SL-2

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
