Job Summary:

The College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Senior Staff Assistant / Clinical Placement & Contracts Administrator.
The Clinical Placement and Contracts Administrator serves as a vital liaison between the College of Nursing and external clinical sites, ensuring seamless coordination of student clinical placements. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical affiliation, agreements and clinical agreement contracts, working closely with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University's legal division to ensure compliance with state policies and institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating clinical placements for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
- Reviewing and finalizing affiliation agreements, including tracking insurance certifications and legal compliance (e.g., HIPAA, indemnification) Collaborating with Deans, Program Directors, and faculty to identify and secure appropriate clinical sites and placements.
- Maintaining accurate and current preceptor records aligned with program requirements Managing orientation and training schedules for students and clinical adjuncts.
- Organizing program-specific filing systems and generating statistical reports for accreditation purposes Initiating new agreements and renewing expired ones to support ongoing clinical education needs Acting as liaison with the simulation team to support experiential learning.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Dean and Executive Vice Dean Ensuing required documentation is collected and updated.
- Participates in CCNE reaccreditation.

Required Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in health services, clinical education, or placement coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven organizational, supervisory and managerial capabilities, including decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and clinical tracking systems.
- Or, a satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training to the above.
